I am 52 years old, my period has been very irregular the past year. Twice a month, heavy, sometimes extremely light. I haven't had a period since March 23rd. I am sexually active, my boyfriend and I do not use protection. Is it possible that I could be pregnant or possibly starting menopause? How trustworthy are over the counter pregnancy test? I may look into this......

Thank you. I was concerned because my period is lasting so long - two weeks. I also have twinges every so often on both sides in the pit of my stomach (p rhaps a bit lower) I am 52 - does this sound like start of menopause?
