I am 31 and found out I have HLA-B27 due to back issues. I cant seem to find very much information about this gene. I have a 2 year old and a 7 year old. When should I have them tested? Also, my dad has had major fusion surgeries on his spine. I asked him to get tested and he wont. He also just got diagnosed with Diverticulitis and will most likely need surgery. Could this HLA-B27 gene be being over looked in his diagnoses?
