I always have problem of coughing and phlegm coming out often. It got worsened after coming to US in last winter. I had sore throat and thought its normal cold and took some medicines. It got worse and had severe pain when I couldn't turn my neck even. Have finally decided to go to a ENT specialist after 3 months and he diagonised it as sinus + GERD after Laryngoscopy. He just treated for sinus with antibiotics and mucinex D 1200 mg after which I did not get pain and he asked to take some diet regulations to control GERD.
After 1 month, when I wide open my mouth still feel something in my throat and its not normal. Do I need to take medication for GERD? Should I visit a different doctor with some other specialization? Is that a serious issue?
