I accidentally started the Nuvaring on the first Sunday following my first bleeding of my period, which was Day 6 if you count the first bleeding as Day 1. I used it for three weeks as directed but then inserted a new one directly following. (I'm terrified I wasn't protected this month because I started using it on Day 6.) I have removed the second ring after five or six days because I want to make sure I get my period and will not be having sex anytime soon. While on the ring, I had sex only between Cycle Days 25-30. Was I protected or not?
