Husband In Hospital Blood Sugar At 62, And Response Is

Husband in hospital blood sugar at 62, and response is to give apple juice in response to hospital protocol for diabetics. He was eating good diet after in coma, septic shock. After giving the apple juice, blood sugar at 128. Is this a n accurate response to his situation. He is eating now a regular diet. He is not diabetic. Eating and holding down fruit, protein, Ect. There is hospital protocol but nurse practioner has asked nurses to stop apple juice as it creates spikes and up and downs. He is now eating well. No shaking or fatigue and still making him drink apple juice despite eating organic fruits, protein and other fiber, carbs. Thank you
