Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 63 yr old female that has been prescribed Meloxicam which I started to take; it helped really well. However, I stopped once I read the adverse side effects. Is it really that potentially dangerous? Sadly, this news has scared the crap out of me.
Gastritis, headache, dizziness are a common side effect of Meloxicam. The dangerous side effects are rare and even for some incidence might not be known.
So take prescribed medication for the prescribed duration to get improvement. Every drug can have some form of side effects.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
General & Family Physician
