General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

No that is blood pressure medicine, and it is not to treat the blood pressure but to prevent the further damage to heart, kidney, and brain.

So tell your doctor to decrease a dose or stop prescribing this medicine. You have to consult a cardiologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
