How To Withdraw From Klonopin?

I quit taking cold turkey just before Thanksgiving after taking Klonopin for around 30 years. I have eexperienced withdrawal symptoms in the last few days. I took 1 mg 1x a day. Today I learned that could be life threatening. I could not get in touch with my primary care doctor today. Would it be safe to start taking the Klonopin tonight and talk with him tomorrow about how to taper off when he comes back in tomorrow. I took Klonopin for. RLS. Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
To withdraw from Klonopin, you will need to slowly taper off the drug, taking precautions to deal with possible withdrawal symptoms.
Plan to lower your dosage in small quantities each week.
Once you reduce your dosage, don’t go back up to a higher dosage.
Reduce your dosage by 125 mg per week.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
