How To Use Orthodontic Braces?

hello, I have 2 orthodontic appliances I need to wear for 5 years before braces for 4.... one is a clear mouth guard very similar to a sport one, and one is a dental trainer or myobrace. I must wear the clear one during the day and both at night, and I can only remove the clear one once a week for brushing, I have to eat with it. is this normal?

As per your complain mouthguards are commonly given to wear during the night while retainers are worn during day as well..

They should be removed and cleaned daily as food debris can get accumulated and lead to infection inside the mouth..

But for knowing the exact duration for which they should be worn, you need to get evaluated and get evaluated for the exact condition of your teeth and as per the aligmemt status you will be advised the duration for which the retainers should be worn..

Eating while wearing them is not abnormal but should be followed by cleaning then to remove any debris and food accumulation over them..
