Hello,

Itchy feeling throughout the body may be due to atopic dermatitis/contact dematitis, pruritis, skin allergy, sensitivity to dust, pollen, fumes, air pollution, dry skin, nerve problem, ring worm, hives, may be indicative of liver disease, diabetes, overactive thyroid, etc. For relief, he can apply hydrocortisone cream or gel, corticosteroid creams, calamine lotion or topical anesthetic, such as pramoxine for relieve locally in the area affected.

He can take a course of Flexigra, once daily for 5-7 days to ease the symptoms. He should take care of his hygiene, take regular showers and wear loose fitting cotton clothes. Help him stay away from dusty polluted area. Clean the table where he works on the PC. Get his clothes washed in hot water. As we age our skin change and becomes thinner with less moisture.

Dry skin causes itching. Stay well hydrated & keep skin moisturized. Take vitamin E rich food or Evion-400 mg once daily for 20 days. Nerve problems due to disease or injury may cause skin to itch. You are suggested to let your father get examined by a Neurologist, get all nerve conduction & imaging tests done. He will be treated according to the pathology detected. He may be referred to a GP if need be.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
