Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I broke my wrist about four months ago and it got my cast off (which I had been wearing for six weeks) at the end of May. It is now August, and my wrist is still swollen. The doctor said it would take a year for it to heal fully, but what should I do?

How To Treat Swollen Wrist?
Hello, What I understand that the swelling is due to the lack of venous return which is common in most post-surgical cases as the muscles are weak. Doing hot water fermentation and some hand muscle free exercises along with strengthening exercise should help avoid symptoms over the long run. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Jay Indravadan Patel, Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist
