How To Treat Swelling And Redness In Finger Joints Caused Due To Injury?

I have a finger injury on the last joint of my second last finger of my right hand. It has a red swelling almost like a bee sting. The finger joint is functional and I can move if freely with slight pain but when I try to get something out of my pocket or I accidentally hit the tip of my finger the pain is severe. I sustained this while trying to subdue and arrest an offender (police officer) during the course of my duty. I don t know weather he grabbed my finger and dislocated it at the joint and it popped back in but there was some bleeding around the base of the finger nail just after the event. It appears slightly bent inwards but that may be just the swelling.

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such pain could be due to soft tissue swelling because of injury ideally it need to be x-ray for fracture part, till then you can try any NSAID and best would be "Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg" have orthopedic opinion too hope this information helps.
