Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain pain and swelling after a traumatic injury occurs due to inflammation that occurs due to injury..

There is also a rupture of small blood vessels due to injury leading to collection of blood into the soft tissues leading to formation of a HEMATOMA and swelling..

The black eye and blood clot appearance also occurs due to rupture of blood vessels and collection of blood in soft tissues.

You need not to worry as the swelling and pain will slowly reduce as the inflammation subside.

For reduction of pain and swelling you can take over the counter painkillers like Ibuprofen to reduce pain and swelling.

If there is bruising of the skin over the cheeks you can do alternate warm and cold packs over he skin for faster reduction of bruising and pain..

If there is severe discomfort you can apply numbing gels over the cheeks for relief..

Hope your query is solved..
