How To Treat Swelling And Bruise On The Foot Caused After An Injury?

I had hemotoma after dropping wooden plank on my foot they xray not broken ..been two weeks bruising seems to gone for most part but its swelling alot and numb intoes ..now its getting hot to touch but feels like on fire..is this normal..also top foot hurts to touch and after on it for while it hurts to walk

Hi.
As per your case history of swelling after trauma my advice is-
1. Pain redness swelling and hot feeling are signs of inflammation. So your affected site is inflammed.
2. Apply ice on that part twice daily.
3. You can apply a diclofenac gel for reducing pain and inflammation.
4. Oral NSAID like ibuprofen can be taken for faster recovery.
