Hello

Your son is having post burn contracture of skin in thigh. It has cosmetic implications and it can restrict his range of motion of this leg. The contractures needs to be released, otherwise he will develop difficulty in using that leg normally. You have to consult a plastic surgeon and he will decide on regarding a small surgical procedure in which the contractures will be removed and new skin will be placed over the deficient area from his opposite thigh skin (Skin Grafting).

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
