Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

What I can infer from your complaints is that you have had a soft tissue injury to your hand. If the x-rays do not show any bony injury then most likely it will be a soft tissue injury of the hand. I would suggest you wait for one more week and if the pain increases then to reconsult your physician till that time you can take it easy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Santosh S Jeevannavar
