How To Treat Severe Shoulder Pain Radiating Towards The Neck?

yes I do have arthritis in most all my joints. Have had 9 surgeries on right hip. Wrist surgery, and also knee. I have been having awful shoulder pain and now it has gone to my neck. I have seen my medical dr. a month ago. She did give me some meds. But, they have not helped with the pain. Should I be concerned about this pain spreading and not going away. It is controlling me.

Hi
It should be assessed for arthritis but doctors may have diagnosed type of arthritis in other joints already.A blood work up for CBB,ESR,CRP,rheumatoid factor,Anti-CCP must be repeated and compared with previous reports if were tested before. This will give clue to disease progression or regression. Also X-rays,MRI of shoulder be done for knowing.consult back with your rheumatologist and orthopaedic surgeon who operated.if nothing seriously wrong in shoulder, conservative treatment alone may help
