Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello! i have lots of ripened acne on my face. i have consulted a local dermatologist in our place but after 5months, my pimples are back. i am using acne aid soap now, it was recommended by a friend. is it good that ripened acne are coming out? thank you.
Thanks for query . Acne occur when clogged pores of sebaceous gland filled with sebum ,dead skin and bacteria get infected . I would suggest you to use face wash containing salicylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelaic acid which is natural extract and safe for use . Exfoliate your skin once in a week to remove the dead skin . If condition doesn't get better in a month then consult dermatologist again for proper diagnosis and to rule out any underlying condition . Doctor may prescribe isoteritenoin , steroid ointment or antibiotics course ( minocyclin ) .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
