Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain once the denture is delivered to the patient the patient is asked to wear the denture continuously for one night and day that is 24 hours and not for a few days..

This is done to check for the reactions taking place in the mouth after denture wearing due to any left out sharp points on denture, any overextended extensions of the denture ,any high points on teeth, check of fitting etc.

As per your complain as you have a red sore on the top right region of the jaw it is probably due to any sharp point on the denture towards the tissue surface leading to injury to the oral mucosa in that place and forming red sore..

I would suggest you to remove the denture and consult back to the dentist and get the sharp point trimmed to get it smoothened so that it does not hurt any more.

In case of pain you can apply numbing gel like orabase or mucopain gel for relief..

Let the sore heal for a day or so and then wear the denture again..

Hope your query is solved..
