How To Treat Prolonged Bleeding During Bowel Movement After A Colonoscopy?

My doctor said he put some clips on some troublesome hemorrhoids during a colonoscopy. He said I might notice some bleeding.I bled with every bowel movement for 4 days, slowed way down, and started up again! It is very bright red. I m kind of scared, but not sure if this is normal.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Clipped hemorrhoids can bleed after a week or two once the devitalized tissues get separated, occurs momentarily and usually stops on its own without much problems, very rarely needing interventions, ligation or so.
Hence if the bleeding has reduced, do not worry, it may stop on its own.
Since this is started again and is bright, I would advise you to consult a General Surgeon for ano-proctoscopy to find the cause and get treated accordingly.
Take Laxative to keep stool soft.
High fiber diet.
Sitz bath
Relax, keep away from stress and/or anxiety.
