How To Treat Panic Attack Of A Nine Years Old?

Hello, I have a 9 year old daughter, and she often has difficulties falling asleep, because she is terrified of being asleep and not thinking. A little while ago I think she had a panic attack about falling asleep -- she said she was sweating and she thought she would throw up. She doesn t have this every night, but I have to sit with her most nights while she falls asleep. Tonight was particularly bad. Should I be concerned? Should I take her to a child psychiatrist? Thank you...

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Some children have panic attacks when they hear ghost stories or witness horror movies on TV.
Reassurance and encouragement will cure these attacks in due course as they grow old.
If severe better consult a Psychiatrist.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
