How To Treat Pain Near The End Of The Left Rib Especially When Pushed?

i have had pain near the end of my left rib. it feels like the bone...either is sticking out or is mischapen. it causes pain when i push on it, sleep on my stomach or depending on how i sit. i thought it was just how i slept, but its been this way for a more than a week now.

Your rib can not change suddenly. So if you are saying that pain is only since 7 days, i would assume it may be due to some strain of your costal muscles. Also as far as feeling of your rib head is concern , it may be because of muscle spasm. By the way both side lower ribs are floating and their heads are palpable. So i would advice you to start pain killer like voveran, local application of gel and warm water. If symptom persist than you should get X ray of chest.
