I fell on to my right elbow four days ago. At the time it hurt a little, but not any more than I would expect. About an hour later I noticed that it had swollen significantly. The pain was (and is) almost nonexistent, and the swelling seems to have gone down a bit, but also spread - almost as though it had gotten evened out along my elbow and forearm. Then this morning I noticed that a very large area - from roughly halfway down my forearm all the way over my elbow and about a quarter of the way up my tricep - had faintly discoloured, as though a giant bruise were beginning to form. That discolouration remains, the edges of it have started to turn faintly green, and there are flecks of purple at the centre of it - directly over the spot that gives you the funny bone sensation when you hit it. What s going on, how worried do I need to be, and what can I do to take care of myself please?
