How To Treat Numbness And Tingles On Lower Lip?

I have a small section of my lower lip that looks slightly black/gray (not intense by any means, but enough to be noticeable) and it is numb and occasionally tingles. I noticed it when out to dinner 6 hours ago, and it s stayed relatively the same as far as sensation and size/color. I haven t hit my head/lip or anything. What could have caused this?

Hi,

It may be herpes simplex most probably. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. Antiviral like acyclovir 800 mg tablets may be given thrice a day for few weeks. Apply acyclovir cream on the lesions. And immunomodulator like levamisole may be taken for long time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

regards..
