How To Treat Nausea, Stomach Pain, Vomiting And Fluctuating White Blood Count?

last friday i was released from the hospital after 8 days suffering from extreme stomach pain nausea vomiting and a fluxuiating white blood count. I have uc and two years ago i had a total colectomy done and now have a colostomy bag. the pain was arpund my stoma and after all the cts and bloodwork it was determined i have a hernia but it isnt strangulated so they managed my pain and sent me home with pain meds. Its been five days and now my symptoms are coming back. what should i do

Hi,

With the info given by you, you are suffering from parastomal hernia which is common after colostomy. This is a defect around the colostomy that may induce sometime incarceration of parts of intestines there causing all these complaints you have mentioned. At your case incarceration is not complete and resolves without surgery when abdominal pressure decrease. Anyway, to prevent any worsening of your situation, you should talk with your doctor for intervention as a final solution.
