How To Treat Leg Pain While Suffering From Lymphedema?
hi i have lymphedema ... had some lymph nodes removed from my groin my compression socks are 20-30 when they should have been 30-40.... i ve tried aleve ibuprofen etc etc for my leg pain but to no relief... what kind of pain pill should i ask my doctor for?
You have history of lymphedema and now you are experiencing pain in the legs. You should be cut on salty food, avoid refined flour and yogurt, added sugars, fats. Avoid alcohol, caffeine & diuretics. Diuretics remove fluid, but increase the protein concentration of the lymph fluid. Get connected to a lymphedema therapist. They will help you to move your affected limb. Help lymph fluid drainage. They will help to prepare you for everyday tasks.
Compression bandage and CDT, complete decongestive therapy may be effective to reduce the discomforts. It will include bandaging, compression garments, manual lymphatic drainage, exercise, and self care. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP and get the treatment started at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
