How To Treat Laryngeal Cancer In The Elderly?
My 86 year old grandfather was diagnosed with stage 3 laryngeal cancer. He has dementia but is otherwise healthy. We are concerned that the effects of radiation and chemo will be too much for him to contend with, but at the same time are fearful of what may happen if we forgo treatment.

I am sorry for this situation. The only treatment for stage 3 laryngeal cancer is radiation and chemo. Of course, it has its own side effects but the only way to increase life expectancy is to do radiation and chemo.
