Hello! I need the help of an orthopedic doctor. Two days ago i felt from my bicycle with my knee on concrete (0 speed, my handlebar blocked) .The impact was from a short distance and it got really swallowed, but I still managed to ride my bicycle for 10 blocks. at the hospital they made me the x-rays, put my whole leg in a detachable cast and gave me crutches. considering that i went to emergency, they didn t tell me much, than to consult an orthopedic doctor because i might have a kneecap fracture and might need surgery. I`ve already talked with two other doctors, which saw the x-rays and said that indeed there is a fracture, but I don`t need a surgery. I want to make sure that a surgery is not required and mandatory for what i have. If so,how long do you think it will take untill It will recover if I keep it in the cast on always and use the crutches. The thing that is weird is that i can move my leg, I can even walk, it doesn `t hurt, I even stopped taking the prescribed painkillers(oxycodone) because i don t have a pain. The only bad thing is that I can`t bend it and my upper muscles are tense.Tank you!! hope for an answer because untill monday I can`t see an orthopedic doctor for a consultation and I m kind of worried. is there any way I could upload the x-rays?( I m 25 , 1.82 m , 70 kg )
