Hi,

Eustachian tube dysfunction can cause a feeling of fullness or clog in the ear and can result in hearing loss. It is important to treat the underlying cause of the dysfunction to improve hearing loss. Here are some steps you can take to treat hearing loss caused by Eustachian tube dysfunction:
* Nasal decongestants: Using nasal decongestants can help clear up any congestion in your nasal passages, which can help open up the Eustachian tube.
* Auto-inflation: Auto-inflation is a technique that involves blowing up a balloon through your nose to help open up the Eustachian tube.
* Earwax removal: If earwax buildup is contributing to hearing loss, removing the earwax can help improve hearing.
* Steroid nasal spray: If there is inflammation in the nasal passages, using a steroid nasal spray can help reduce the inflammation and improve Eustachian tube function.
* Surgery: In severe cases, surgery may be required to correct Eustachian tube dysfunction.

It is important to follow your doctor's advice and treatment plan for your specific case. Additionally, it is important to protect your ears from loud noises and avoid using earphones for long periods.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
