How To Treat Hard Lump On Chin Inspite Of Using Clindamycin For Cellulitis?

Hi, I went to the Dermatologist on Thursday (3 days ago) and was diagnosed with cellulitis on my chin. She gave me Clindamycin HCL 300mg every 6 hrs. I have taken them since Thurs. afternoon, so like 12 to 13 pills. The rash looking redness is gone, low fever is gone, heat from the lump is gone. However the lump seems harder (is about the size of a large egg, 3 inches long by 2 inches wide). She wants me to follow up with her on this coming Thurs. and said go to ER if gets worse. If it s getting harder, is that it getting worse?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that lump started dissolving as symptoms are getting clear.
Wait for 2-3 days more, there will be complete absorption of lump.
If there is pus formation then it should be excised and drainage of pus should be done.
So after 2-3 days if problem persisted then consult treating doctor.
Ok and take care.
