How To Treat Fibrous Dysplasia In The Right Jaw?
Good Morning Doctor, My daughter is 11years she has diagnosied fibrous dysplasia in her Jaw ,only one bone is effected.There is swelling and pain on the right JAW. Can you suggest the treatment and how long this will persist. Regards VIJAY

Fibrous dysplasia is a rare bone disease where normal bone is replaced by fibrous tissue and abnormal bone. Currently, there are no medical therapies of proven efficacy to treat fibrous dysplasia.
Biphosphonates have been found to be effective in dealing with pain and bone turnover. Physical therapy is integral to maintain strength and range-of-motion. I'll suggest please talk to her pediatrician regarding treatment options.
