How To Treat Fever In A Kid?

My 4 year old is running a fever. The fever is in and out. More worse at nights. When he gets the fever he grinds his teeth. He threw up twice in the last two days. And when he pooped it was like water. Should I get him to the emergency room or continue to give him the medicine we have??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that he might be having acute gasto-enteritis giving this problem.
As there is vomiting so water or any medicine may not retain and risk of having dehydration is likely.
So it is better to take him to ER.
Meanwhile try to give more water and keep him well hydrated.
Ok and take care.
