How To Treat Eye Redness After Rubbing Vicks Vapor Rub?

My 19 month old son got into the baby Vicks and rubbed a small amount in his eye. It s clearly red and irritated but just wondering what I should do about it to help him and his eye get back to normal. I feel bad because it s my fault his eye is making him irritable

Just clear the eye with clean cold water, rinse and wash. Avoid ointments. If you are still feeling irritation, consult an eye doctor.
