General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the Chlamydia infection of the eye needs vigilant care as:
- Thorough splashing of eyes with cold water 6-8 times a day at regular intervals
- Wear protective eye glasses or goggles when going outside
- Avoid exposure to dust, pollen containing atmosphere
- Prescription of oral antibiotics as Clarithromycin or Azithromycin
- Local drops containing Erythromycin and Gentamycin with or without combination of Fludrocortisone if there is associated erythema

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
