How To Treat Dry And Itchy Patches Near Vagina And Thighs?

Hi.. This is Monalisha Mohanty...I am 25 years old..I am getting small round dry patches near to my vagina and thighs. It is not itching. And also I got rashes on the soft skin of my vagina after using sanitary pad..I am scared whether these patches are dangerous. Whether these are contagious. Please suggest a good ointment for this problem. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Ms Mohanty,it is always great to answer your queries.I think the dry patches near vagina and thighs and rashes on the soft skin of your vagina is due to mild bacterial infection.you can apply antibiotic Metrogyl cream locally in those area.I believe these patches are not dangerous but if with Metrogyl it does not go away you can see your GP for a clinical examination.my best wishes for you.thank you.
