How To Treat Dementia In A Person With Parkinson S Disease?

My husband was diagnosed with Parkinsons 4-5 years ago. and recently has dementia. He is in skilled nursing facility. It appears that his dementia is progressing. An actor, age 67, just died from dementia. My husband is 86. Is there any indication as to when my husband will pass? At this point, he appears to be in good health in spite of everything.

Hello Deborah!

My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you on Healthcaremagic!

I understand your concern, but you should know that your husband medical situation seems to be a little different from that of the actor.
As he is active and is taking care about himself, it seems that he is at an early age of dementia.
So, you should't worry about death related to dementia or Parkinsons at this stage.
Hope you will find this information helpful!
Best regards!
