How To Treat Dark Lower Lip Naturally?

Hello Dr. Andrew
I was wondering the best natural way to treat a darkened lower lip? I believe it's from using cheap cosmetics on my lip in the past because I noticed my lips are drier after using said products, so I was wondering how I could undo the damage already done. Thanks

Hi dear ,

The darkening and dryness of the lip occur due to over exposure of lip to sun , stress and hormonal changes . I would suggest you to :-

Apply lip balm throughout the days containing broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 15 .

Apply kojic acid cream twice a day on the lip after washing it with cold water .

Apply ice pack twice a days .

Apply vitamin E oil at night .

If condition doesn't improve in a month the consult dermatologist for proper evaluation of the condition .

Doctor may recommend techniques like laser therapy or micrineedling.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
