How To Treat Dark Discolouration Of Cheek Despite Using Fluticasone?

Hi My daughter is 2 years 5 months old.15days back she was hit by table and Immediately her right cheek bone became black.I gave her ice pack. For 2 days it was just like that black. Then my friend suggest to put betadine and neosporin ointment. When I put after 20 minutes half of the cheek became full red. Then I saw red veins.I took her to doctor and she prescribed as Fluticasone crème IP.After 7 days I felt 1 lump under her skin on that chick bone which was not there in first instance. Now that lump area is black in colour. We can see broken veins around that lump till her mouth.Redness reduce but not going significantly.Kindly suggest some medicine.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that due to sudden trauma there has been rupture of small blood vessels and there is spillage of blood into the soft tissues and there is hematoma formation and bruising and it is leading to black appearance and is no pigmentation but due to hematoma formation..
You should stop applying Fluticasone ointment as it is steroid and not needed in this case..
The lump is also due to localization of hematoma and can take a few days to about a month to resolve..
You can continue doing cool compresses over the area.
Apply Heparin gel as it will help in faster fading of the bruises and disintegrate the hematoma..
You can also give her Acetaminophen for pain..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
