How To Treat Chiari Malformation Without SSRI S?
I am an NP in the VA. I have a patient with Chiari Malformation, probably Type I, seen by a neurologist who advised against surgery until it begins to compress the spinal cord fully. My question is this: What mental health medications are prescribed (other than SSRIs) to treat the symptoms of CM? (depression, insomnia, anxiety, etc.) Veteran does not take opiates.

I really appreciate your concern, for the functional condition, psychological disease drug treatment varies greatly and it is not the single molecules being tried but most of the time three to four drugs being given and it is depends upon the clinical condition of patient and psychiatrist can only decide this hope this information helps.
