How To Treat Burning Sensation In Chest And Throat?
Hi, I am a 67 year old male and recently I have been getting a burning sensation in my chest and it goes up to my throat after I get anxious or get in a hurry. It becomes difficult to breathe. I sit down and rest, then everything goes back to normal.
You need to have this evaluated promptly. You might be having angina attacks- where the coronary arteries are blocked so that your heart is not getting enough oxygen if you are anxious or rushing. This could indicate you might have a heart attack soon. Call your doctor right away and get tested for this. It could also be esophagitis and reflux, in which case antacids might help, but you need to rule out the more serious problems like heart disease first. Hope this helps.
