How To Treat Bruised Arm Along With Lumps In Middle Of Bruise?

10 days ago I fell on my left side and all the way round the top part of my arm was badly bruised. I can move it fine with no pain but the bruise is now only fading but slowly. I have two small hard lumps in the middle of the bruise which are tender to touch and my arm stings and sometime feels quite hot. What is the answer?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Sounds like a (sterile) inflammatory condition. This can happen with “bad bruises” and should be seen by your family doctor/GP. Otherwise, you could risk permanent damage to deeper structures of your tissue or even muscles. Therefore, you should see a local physician asap.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Alexander Davis, General & Family Physician
