How To Treat Baby Passing Frequent And Sticky Stools?
My baby is 2 and a half month old. She is passing stools 15 to 20 times a day since yesterday. Consistency till yesterday was normal but today its sticky and carry bubbles. She is breast fed little due to limited milk production. We are giving feed externally also (Lactodex lactogen1). We are giving ORS since yesterday. What else shall be given. Please help. Rgds Mathew
Hello, I went through your query and understood your baby's problem. As your baby fed with lactodex lactogen, infection of the bowel is more Iikely to occur. Treatment for diarrhea is ORS which you have already started. I suggest you to continue the same for next few 2 to 3 days. If it doesn't subside it's better to visit a pediatrician.
I assure you that there is nothing to worry much.
You can always contact me if you have any other queries.
Regards, Dr. Prathap
