Had an abscess due to Staphylococcus which was drained. The hole from the drain has healed but a patch a little larger than a quarter refuses to heal up. It forms a scab during the day if left exposed but becomes wet and softens at night, breaking up. I wash the patch daily but can t get it past this point. I am a diabetic and my legs do swell on a regular basis. Thought it would take a while but it s been 90 days. No discharge or even much of any discomfort. Just won t heal.
