Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 21 year old daughter fell on some stairs in April and got her shin really hard. She has since developed a lump on her shin that is sometimes painful to walk. She finally went to the walk-in clinic tonight to get it checked and was told it was a fat tumor and to live with it taking ibuprofen for pain. There were no X-rays done or any other testing. I did not think these types if rumors developed in non-fatty areas like the front of the shin bone. Does this sound like a correct diagnosis?
Hi, i do care for your concern. The history suggest of lipoma, it is possible to get in shin region. The lipoma can be easily removed by minor surgery, which will be more effective. need not panic as this is a benign condition. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Thank you
