How To Treat BP Level Of 154/96 Noticed After A Walk?

Hi. I m a 49 yo female who is 5 4 tall and 145 lbs. I m very active and run 15-20 miles a week plus other activities. Normally my blood pressure is fine, but I went to a walk-in clinic last week for a sinus issue and my blood pressure was 154/96. I ve been taking it with a home device and it ranges from 121/82 to 156/100 during the past few days. Do I need to see a doctor right away? I m never sick and with the exception of an annual checkup have averaged a doctor visit for the random respiratory illness about once every 4-5 yeear. Thanks.

Dear Mrs,
You have measured high blood pressure for several times. Sometimes patients with high blood pressure don't have complains. But it needs treatment. If not treated for years high blood pressure can cause several organ damage such as kidneys, eyes, heart, brain.
You shouldn't worry as your blood pressure is not elevated much and you have also normal values. But I would advise you to see your doctor to discuss treatment to prevent further complications

Wish you goodhealth

Regards
