hi doctor i want to clear my mind regarding hiv. 5 days back i had sex with an escort. we didnt kiss nor oral and i used extra protection condoms while have sex, we did it twice. first time i came inside her, second time i coudnt cum inside her so she removed my condoms and gave me a hand job, i also jerked myself, earlier i had touched her pussy and she also applied lubricant to her vigina and gave handjob using same hand. i also touched fluids from her vigina. now after 5 days i am feeling severe headaches for 3-4 hours and feeling not good. my concern is if these things will cause hiv or if there was any breakage in condoms which may cause hiv. please reply to me doctor. am i infected to hiv ? awaiting your response.
It is very early to get tested for HIV if you have only five days after intercourse.
An antigen/antibody test performed by a laboratory on blood from a vein can usually detect HIV infection 18 to 45 days after an exposure. So, I suggest to tet yourself after this period of time.
I would also suggest to retest after three month to exclude completely the possibility of an infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
