How To Stop Vaginal Odor Caused After Taking Plan B?

Vaginal odor has occurred after taking the morning after pill. I had sex one day after my period had ended and the condom broke. Immediately I took the CVS version of plan B and 5 days later my period came back, very heavy, for about 3 and a half days. Now I have vaginal odor. Is that just a side effect from the EC pill?

Hello.

Vaginal odor is not a side effect of the pill. You will need to have a check to have a vaginal exam and determine the cause of the odor. Sometimes, bacterial vaginosis or an STD can be the cause of such odors. If you have forgotten a tampon (if you use tampons), this may be the cause of bad odors as well. The doctor may have to test your secretions to find out which is the cause and the needed treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
