Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcareMagic

Pimples or acne is a chronic, recurrent skin condition. Moreover, post acne marks is a frequent complication of inflammatory acne.
Treatment of acne is guided by the severity of acne and includes oral as well as topical treatment.
Even when active acne have subsided with treatment, maintenance treatment should still be continued to prevent new acne from erupting.
Topical treatment of acne consists of topical antibacterials, like clindamycin, nadifloxacin; topical benzoyl peroxide and topical retinoid.
Topical antibacterials and topical benzoyl peroxide are antiinflammatory and are therefore useful for treatment of inflammatory acne.
Topical retinoid e.g adapalene is antiinflammatory as well as comedolytic and therefore not only treats but also prevents new acne formation.
Retinoids are also ideally suited as maintenance regimen because of there comedolytic action.
Retinoids also help lighten acne marks.
Specifically for the marks/ pigmentation resulting from acne you may use a pigment lightening agent w.g either kojic acid, hydroquinone Or glycolic acid.
You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from a dermatologist for post acne marks.

Regards
