How To Reduce Pain In Lower Back After An Injury?

Hi, I slipped down the stairs day before yesterday and have hurt my lower back (right side). That night was too painful and yesterday i had taken a pain killer which gave a little relief. There is no swelling but it pains even when i touch there. I have applied a pain relief ointment as well. Can you suggest anything better? Thanks! Navrit
