How To Reduce Pain In Hip, Leg And Ankle While Lying Down?
For several months I have had pain in my right hip, leg and sometimes my ankle. I am usually fine while sitting and standing, but not while I am lying in bed. That is when the pain is acute. Right neck pain sometimes accompanies the hip/leg pain. Extra-strength Tylenol does not help. I get some relief when I take Aleve, but that is not a drug my system accepts for more than 2 doses.
since you are having right hip pain and on the leg and ankle, it is probably due to nerve compression in disc problems.
Kindly consult an orthopaedician for a clinical examination along with an Xray of the spine to locate any disc problems.
Tylenol may not be very helpful in such cases. Medications containing Aceclofenac 100mg once a day week may be helpful. However strong analgesics cause gastritis so you can opt for aceclofenac topical gels. Physiotheraphy also helps. If you are elderly individual then An evaluation of bone density by DEXA scan shall help to treat you for Calcium deficiency.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Dr.Riyanka
